Community

We are located in beautiful south-central El Dorado county, and serve the communities of Somerset, Mt Aukum, Outingdale, Fairplay, and southern Placerville. This is an area rich in natural beauty, agriculture and history. Orchards, Christmas tree farms, pumpkin patches and wineries are open to visitors. (Check out www.edc-farmtrails.org  for more information.) All three forks of the Cosumnes River converge in this region, providing recreational opportunities and scenic views.

We are blessed to share this community with the excellent schools in the Pioneer School District and the dedicated men and women of the Pioneer Fire District www.pioneerfire.org .

It is our practice to be involved in our community. We open our facility to the organizations of our area to use at no cost. We are a distribution site for The Food Bank of El Dorado County. Pre-pandemic we were host to the Happy Sundowners 4-H Club and  Alcoholics Anonymous. In the past we have been a polling place at election time. We encourage our people to be involved in Pioneer School, Mountain Creek, and Indian Diggins School, in the youth sports leagues, in scouting, in 4-H, in local horse groups, in the local Senior Center and in any other community activity.
